The first set of new outdoor waste containers have arrived on the UC Berkeley Campus. The five Landfill bins can be found on Upper Sproul Plaza near the south end of Martin Luther King, Jr. Student Union. The College of Environmental Design received a grant from The Green Initiative Fund to purchase a new waste container system for the building. This grant was initiated by CED students advocating for improved waste management in the building. CED has already been leading campus waste management efforts by implementing compost services in the building. The
